Charles Dance is being eyed for a role in The Batman Part II.
On Saturday (April 18), Deadline reported that the 79-year-old Emmy-nominated actor is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming DC Studios movie, which stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, that Matt Reeves is writing and directing.
Keep reading to find out more…It is believed that Charles would play Charles Dent, the father of Gotham District Attorney Harvey Dent. It was previously announced that Sebastian Stan will be playing Harvey Dent and that Scarlett Johansson will be playing his wife.
Charles is best known for his roles in movies including Last Action Hero, The Imitation Game, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Frankenstein. He also played Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones and Lord Mountbatten in the third and fourth seasons of The Crown, which earned him an Emmy nomination.
The Batman Part II, which is sequel to 2022 movie, is expected to begin production later this spring and it is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on October 1, 2027.
The first movie was a major blockbuster, grossing $369.3 million at the domestic box office and $772M worldwide.
